Home Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening in the form of a home kit has been available since about 1986.
Home tooth whitening kits enable you to achieve professional results at home. It takes two to three weeks to achieve maximum result.

Before the treatment:
Brush and floss just prior to bleaching your teeth. Try the trays in first without any beach to check the fit and comfort. The bleaching trays must be clean and dry. Apply the whitening gel to your teeth.

Apply the Bleaching Gel:
When you apply the gel make sure not to fill the trays. Place a little drop of tooth whitening gel half way up on the inner front surface of tray (in the front of each tooth in the tray). Do not spread the bleach around. Recap the syringe.
You will need approximately 0.5ml of whitening for each arch. (Jaw)

Insert the Bleaching Trays:
Insert the whitening tray in your mouth over the teeth. Hold the tray firmly against the teeth. Wipe the excess gel off of the gums with your finger or tissue.

Is whitening safe?
Whitening is the safest cosmetic dental procedure. Though bleaching is not recommended for children under 14 years of age and pregnant or breast-feeding women.
Studies have shown that combined with a good oral hygiene, teeth can keep their improved colour for 2-3 years and longer.
